English Heritage have commissioned Locus Consulting to undertake research into the use of heritage information in the preparation of community-led planning projects. The first stage of the research involved talking to local authority heritage professionals about the products and services they are able to provide, in order to create a picture of what information is available to the public.
The latest phase of the project is focussed on community groups, especially those undertaking a Neighbourhood Plan. We’re keen to find out how much information is being used and in what forms, and to learn about some of the more detailed information requirements people may have. We’re also trying to find out if there are any particular obstacles to people getting the information they need, so that future work can be targeted to greatest effect.
We have already sent out a questionnaire to people involved in community-led projects, and this page is intended to provide online access to it, along with the appropriate guidance. If you want to make a contribution to the project, please download the documentation below and return it to the e-mail address stated in the questionnaire. Alternatively, please feel free to send a copy to our office by post.
If you have any questions about the questionnaire please feel free to give us a call or send us an e-mail. We’ll do our best to help. In the meantime, thank you for your interest in the project.
