Heritage Impact Assessment & Scheduled Monument Consent
Chad Varah House, Lincoln
Conversion of a Grade II Listed former hospital located in the heart of Lincoln into luxury apartments was granted planning permission and listed building consent in early 2017. A number of works proposed also require Scheduled Monument Consent which is ongoing. Locus provided a substantial Heritage Impact Assessment considering the impact of the development, which included a significant rebuild of the north façade, on adjacent conservation areas and over 50 designated heritage assets including Lincoln Castle immediately to the north and the iconic Lincoln Cathedral. Locus are now retained to manage the delivery of minor archaeological works, undertake a building survey of internal areas and secure Scheduled Monument Consent.
